We don't do much polycarb (we stick to what we know best )
Anyway we did a full house of fascias and the customer asked us if we could do anything with the cracked georgian wired skylights
i haven't got a pic but its something raised about as high as this but without the dome, and flat georgian wired glass plonked flat on top.
Off came the glass and on went a sheet of 25mm poly screwed down in all four corners as well as no nails'd everywhere. There are sheet closures all round but for some reason two of the middle flutes are filling up with water at the bottom end (the fall towards the gutter).
Somehow water is getting in at the top but there is a tight sheet closure all around?
Anyway, after all that, the customer found a small dent on the underside of the poly that must have been done in transit, so I said i'd just renew it for her.
My question is, how about I completely bung up the one end at the top, with clear silicone, and the sheet closure, and just leave the bottom end taped and closed?
Just to confirm the flutes where the fixings are through are absolutely fine, its just the bottom centre that is filling up.
