Hello

We just had a new combi boiler fitted in our rental property. I have noticed that the water in the kitchen gets very hot, so hot you cannot keep your hand under it. But the water upstairs in the bathroom is not as hot. I'd say it's quite warm but I can literally run the hot water for the bath fill it right up and get in without running the cold water at all and it is warm but not hot. Why is this? Can anything be done?

Many thanks

Close the hot tap a bit.....this will allow the boiler to keep up with the hot water demand.
It'll take a bit longer to fill the bath though!
John :)

That has done the trick.

Is this a common issue then? Must admit the old boiler used to seem to be very hot upstairs. But the boiler was 20 + years old and needed replacing

Yup +1 @Burnerman ..... bath taps are usually larger and tend to flow faster so more water running through pipes and therefore the boiler. The water is colder this time of year too so harder for the boiler to keep up. Your new boiler may also be a lower HW output than the old one.
