water pressure dies completely in my electric shower

to get the shower to work i need to turn on a cold water tap then start shower and then turn off the tap and the shower works.
But then it intermittant dies after minutes or seconds. The shower will go into low pressure and then die, sometimes it will overheat. Then sometimes it will work fine.
The combi boiler and tank are directly above the bathroom.

You haven't told us much about the shower have you?

Is it a 1904 Daimler-Benz or a 2004 Ferrari F1, or maybe an Airbus 300 series?

If you have a blending valve it probably needs cleaning. How old is it and when was it last done?

I was in a bit of a hurry when I posted this query.
It's a mira shower, I don't know how old it is as
I've only been in the property for 9 months.

Any ideas where I can get schematics for this item?

Yes Breezer,

It's electric, I though it a bit funny myself, why have
an electric shower when you have a combi-boiler?
A mixer-bar type shower would've probably done the same job...

The last occupant must've been a belt and braces kinda person.

time to get a new shower then. electric showers do not last long and are usually "disposable"

besides if you have a combi they give better showers anyway imo

Speak to Mira. Like most manufacturers, they're quite helpful, and you can get spares.

If you have any form of heating, it's a good idea to have a back-up. It's a pain when your combi stops heating and you have no hot water for washing.
