Hi, now our water company has changes us from gravity to fully pumped supply we have have too much pressure.
I would like to install a prv after the stop tap so would be grateful if those with experience of these could suggest the best make / model for reliability/longevity?
thanks

Honeywell D05 - make sure you get the right version for your pipe sizes.

Fit a full flow lever valve before the PRV. That way you can easily isolate if the gauge fails, as they sometimes do on these and most other PRVs. If you want to be really clever, fit one before and one after the valve so you can remove and replace with ease.

Thanks for that, I have just looked at the instalation instructions and cant fit one without quite a bit of pipe modification, they are not compatable fitted vertically on a rising main .:(

The instructions say that but......

With your example the water flow is in the right direction in relation to the orientation of the adjustment knob ie its pointed upwards. The Honeywell, and all their valves are the same, the adjuster would point down which according to their tech support is wrong because it allows any debris in the water to fall back into the valve seat
