Water pressure

I recently installed a MOEN single handed shower/tub set with PEX tubing. The problem I am having is that when the hot water starts mixing with the cold I get some water coming out my shower head when it should only be coming from my tub spout. When it is just hot water or just cold it flows from the tub spout fine. I am just wondering how I can solve this problem. When I run water for a bath I don't want water running from the shower head.

You need to check that your installation complies with the requirements specified by the valve manufacturers. For example is your water pressure and hot temperature within acceptable range? If that's all OK, it sounds like a fault on the diverter valve. Call manufacturer and see what they say.
