Water puddling around a post

I have built a small patio which has a slight fall onto the garden, problem is, the water puddles around the base of an existing wooden post (see the attached).

Obviously this will excelerate the rotting process.

Should I built a sort of concrete collar around the base of the post?

The existing post has been concreted in place, so maybe I could just build off this?

A concrete haunch would be good, you just need to make sure you don't get the same problem occuring at the perimeter of the haunch.
