Hi guys, I am about to fit a water softener, Harveys block salt type, in my son's house. He has an Isar combi boiler. (I am only using the soft water to supply the hot water, not the CH heater. This has been approved by Ideal technical.). Due to the physical limitations of the cupboard in which it is going, I am unable to use a 22mm full flow fitting kit, and hope to use a 15mm softener installation kit for combis, which has full flow valves.
1. What sort of pressure drop can I expect?
2. I presume the required NRV will cause further pressure loss.
