Hi folks, new member. Just wanted to pass on my experience with pipework clunking.
Having just installed a new kitchen, some of the pipework was extended to include a feed for a dishwasher.
After turning the water back on(no leaks everything sound!) I was annoyed to discover a horrible clunk whenever a tap was turned off.
A friend advised me to change the stop cock as it could be faulty.
To cut a long story down a bit, after some investigation I found that I had only re-opened the stop cock by one turn or so,when it was fully opened the clunk was gone!
Can anyone explain what was going on???
