Water tank removal

Had a combi boiler fitted a few years ago. The water tanks were drained at the time.

Have limited loft space so would like to remove them to make storage space. Not sure what material the tanks are made from, possibly lead? (See photos)

Any tips if this is safe to dismantle and how best to cut up and remove as is stuck in between roof timbers and too big to handle out of the hatch.

It'll be galvanised steel, use a Jigsaw or reciprocating saw.

Nope, sparks from a grinder is a big risk in a loft.

Not sure what material the tanks are made from, possibly lead? (See photos)

Test with a magnet - if it sticks, then it is galvanised steel.
