Hi all,
We need your help, we have had a new tap fitted by my father. It was a good quality and expensive tap but since having it fitted the water tastes like chemicals (really strong and im told of Chlorine)
We have run both the hot and cold taps for well over 10 minutes each but the taste is still there.
There are two feed pipes attached for the dishwasher and washing machine, they do not have one way valves but were fitted when the old tap was there and the water tasted fine.
Could this new tap have changed the pressure of the system and be puling water from these pipes?
The only other thing we can think of is the new tap has an aerator, could this be intensifying the terrible taste?
We have tried a water filter but can still taste the chemical taste.
Ive checked and flexible pipes have got WRAS stamped on them
Any help / advice / suggestions please? We are baffled! (and thirsty!)
