I am trying to flush my radiators (combi boiler)as described on various posts , I have turned off system and attached a hose to the tap underneath a radiator , I have opened upstairs bleeding valves and waited for water to come rushing out , however at best it only drips , at this rate it will take months to empty. any advice.

the washer in the drain cock is stuck - most do that - get a new cock. Dig the old one out with a small screwdriver ;)

you say you have opened the drain cock and the bleed valves. If water then does not come out of the drain cock, it might be stuck shut or have a persished washer in it. Try undoing the plug completely until it comes out, and if still no water comes out, poke the hole to dislodge anty debris and, as Nige says, scrape out the remains of the washer.

warning: water may then start to gush out, so have towels and basins handy to catch it until you can screw the plug back in. The plug will still work with no washer, but it will pdrip a bit
