We have salt and damp in the lower 100cm of our kitchen walls.
I'm going to first neutralize the salt, then install a DryZone resin injection DPC and then dry line the walls with a mesh plaster membrane such as http://www.safeguardeurope.com/products/oldroyd_p.php before plastering. Hopefully this should prevent the salt from surfacing.
My question is, because the salt contamination is only the lower parts of the walls, do I need to membrane the entire height of the wall? or can I simply fit the membrane to the bottom 150cm or so and then plaster the whole wall as normal?
The manufacturers of the membrane doesn't really cover this topic in documentation.
