F&E tank in loft space supplies a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard below. When we use the shower, sometimes a 'wave' develops in the tank causing the float to rise and fall. As a result, the flow into the tank increases and decreases accordingly, this in turn makes the wave worse, and also affects the cold mains pressure at the taps; mildly irritating when filling the kettle, glass of water, etc., If it's relevant, the shower cold supply also comes from the same tank.
The tank, shower etc, have been there 10 years plus, and has been fine until the last 3 months. Nothing else has changed, unless Severn Trent have changed the mains pressure (it's not noticeable if they have). I've re-washered the valve, but it still happens. Any ideas?
