On behalf of my in laws...
My in laws have recently had a Worcester Bosch ri 13 boiler fitted, however ever since the boiler seems to continually shut down. The engineers have been out on a number of occasions and have given a number of different explanations for the switch off including the pipes from the boiler were not installed properly or there is air in the central heating system.
The engineers have changed the pump on the cylinder tank and have also carried out tests on the water from the system which they state is very dirty (it was power flushed after the boiler was installed apparently)
We have discovered that if you turn off the hot water advance on the control panel and leave on the central heating then the radiators work fine but the hot water is not very hot, however when you turn on the hot water advance as well as the central heating the boiler stays on for a couple of minutes, makes a noise and then switches on and off continually.
The blue light on the boiler does not flash which apparently means that it is working as normal.
One of the engineers has said that when he opened the drain off valve from the cylinder tank air came out while another has said that vents have to be fitted to the pipes above the boiler.
A couple of the radiators within the house are also full off air and are having to be bled every couple of days
Thanks
