Weather boarding

Hi

I am about to put weather boarding onto my new garage.

My question is what is the best fixings to use for the battens that will take the weather boards?

The garage is made from concrete block.

I want to use stainless so I dont get corrosion problems.

most builders merchants can supply you with stainless fixings, say 3", 10's with brown plugs (7mm drill hole). did you know in the old days of cut nails, rust was considered as part of the anchoridge strength!
