I plan to erect some decking at the far end of our garden. This will afford a sunny place to sit and also replace our dead garden shed. The decking area will be some 18' along the back (stone) wall and 9' out from the wall (and secured to the side stone wall). I intend the decking to be about 1 metre above ground level so providing storage space underneath - above existing patio slabs.
In an ideal world all or most of this "under-deck" storage should be weathertight so the contents stored there will not easily rust/rot/decay.
Do I merely lay the decking boards snug, perhaps on some DPC ? If so then how will the surface water drain off ?
All advice gratefully received.
Thanks
