Worse still is seeing obese children. These poor s***s don't even choose their own diet, so what are the parents thinking to feed them the amount/type of food that results in fat 8 year-olds? It's child abuse, plain and simple.
obesity - thats one issue. quality of food is quite another. sugar and e numbers are the worst thing to feed kids.
Theres one kid who comes into our shop every day, and buys all sorts of thing, usually for his "Aunite Maisy". Maisy is so big she cant fit down some of our aisles (ok, its a small shop, but you should see her, its horrible). Anyway, this lad has got so much energy its unbelieveable. He came in yesterday and was bouncing up and down while he asked where something was. I could feel the floor bouncing up and down too. By no means is he overweight, but he is sooooo hyperactive. I put this down to quality of his diet. I bet he eats pot noodles, sweets, and all the reduced c**p his auntie maisy buys every day.
Maisy only ever buys things from our reduced to clear section. She is a scrounger. If she spent as much money on food as she does on scratchcards, she'd have a gourmet buffet every night. Anyway, when we see maisy outside the shop, we try to take off all the reduced stuff so she cant buy any. She is a horrible woman.
(unrelated, but to show how horrible maisy is, she sends the lad in with her electric token card that WONT SWIPE - SHE KNOWS IT DOESNT. She doesn't want to hear us tell her again, to get a new card, she cant be bothered, so she sends the lad in with it. Evil cow.) [/rant]
But there is loads of kids who come in our shop, running and screaming up and down the aisles. It drives me potty. The parents cant control them, but its entirely their fault. I wish we could sell those kiddy-leashes
