Hi,

I was hoping you might be able to give me some advice. My kitchen tap started free-flowing today and refused to turn off despite determined twisting. I shut the water of at the stop-cock, left it for a few hours, and tried again - this time it worked fine.

I don't suppose you might know what would cause this and how I might stop it happening again?

Thanks,

Tim.

Thanks breezer, I'll try and work out how to change it!

Out of interest I wonder if anyone knows why turning the water pressure off and then on again would have made it work?

if the washer is "in the wrong place" it may be held by dirt, turning water off may have moved it, but fit new washer to be sure

Thanks Breezer, I'll do that.

I appreciate your help.

Best wishes,

Tim
