I had a rapid and rude awakening yesterday morning, by a very vivid dream. I dreamt that there was a baby crocodile in the bed with me, I'd grabbed it's mouth to prevent it opening it's jaws, then tried to push it off the side of the bed - except I was laid asleep across the bed, so instead of pushing it off the bed, I was trying to stuff it under the pillows. At that point I woke up and warily jumped out of bed, looking round for the crocodile.

It was several seconds of wakefulness later, before I accepted the croc didn't exist, except in the dream.

So why did borisconi put in an early appearance at your gaff?

Let's hope rumours of that nasty creature getting back into power again doesn't exist either!

Have you recently started a new prescription?

Propranolol causes dreams like that.

Could have been worse, if you dreamt you were inside the croc.

I had a dream something like that. The cat had caught a mouse and had brought it up to show us. It was running over the bed.

No, nothing new - I have always had sometimes quite lucid dreams. Mostly the are forgotten within minutes of waking, but this one got me out of bed, so I remembered it. I've never been given to sleep walking, but I do sometimes react in my sleep. In Blackpool, in the car late at night, my father went off looking for somewhere to stay and I decided I was too warm in my sleep and began taking my jumper off and pushing it out of the window :)

That’s not a rumour. It’s going to happen. (y)

I had many dreams where I was fighting something off. In one case I was kicking out at a person but ended up breaking a toe after hitting a desk leg, and another when I lashed out and whacked Mrs Secure on the noggin.

I'm not on any new scripts.

I always thought the body was made partially immobile when asleep to stop people injuring themselves.

I know there are sleepwalkers, maybe it's something like that.

I've heard the same too.

I'm terrible when I first wake up, eyes don't work, head doesn't work, speech likewise, balance doesn't work. I'm useless until I've had my first coffee, and I begin to function.

You might benefit from enough activity to get blood and oxygen circulating

What, like being chased out of bed by a croc.. :)

I'm a bit limited for exercise - I have CKD4, which means my blood doesn't take up oxygen as well as it should. The result is I can go at full speed for 100 yards, then I need to let my blood oxygen level catch up.
