I have a lawn 120ft x 50ft approx. It has areas where when it rains it holds the water. How can I improve the drainage without digging it all up and starting again.
Thanks,
Gary.
Start with scarifying the lawn with a mower or lawn rake it then plenty of garden fork holes or aeration tools for drainage hole & fill the holes with sharp sand, well that's the way I do it
Thanks masona.
Scarified the lawn this afternoon and made plenty of holes and filled with sharp sand. Under the lawn seems to be clay, so maybe this could be some of the problem.
