Wet room waste

Hi all, i'm going to be using this as my waste in a wet room floor:

Can anyone give me any tips to stop it leaking and/or where silicone etc should be used to ensure a perfect seal.

I'd be inclined to check that the waste you're planning to fit is compatable with the type of flooring you are using.

Given that if the waste /floor seal breaks down then you will have a significant problem check .... check and then check again!
