Whacker size for block paving?

I’ve done some block paving on an area that won’t have vehicles on it, and I hired one of these:


I now need to do another area as a couple of foot wide block paved border around gravel infill. For this one the car will go over it. Reckon that whacker above is too small for that? It weighed an absolute tonne (although I’m a wimp) so god knows how I’ll get on with a heavier one!

No didn’t use a mat as it’s those rumbled type pavers, but maybe I should do.

leave a small layer of kiln dried sand on top of pavers to protect it, having no mat is ok with rumbled pavers, the whacker is the size most pavers would use, and whack in different directions, good luck.
