May sound daft, but just tried "hey google set living room temperature to 20 degrees" and it worked 1739014312625.pngthe two TRV heads and wall thermostat all different makes, all went to 20ºC. I didn't know I could do that.

As to if I can ask it to go to 20ºC at a set time, not tried, but living room and hall are the odd rooms out, they both have wall thermostats, so can make the boiler run, other rooms have electronic TRV heads, but these are not connected to the boiler electrically, so will only heat the rooms if the boiler happens to be running.

The boiler does not modulate, and is oil fired.

My central heating is a mixture, three makes of electronic TRV heads, 5 Bluetooth, 4 Wi-Fi, these are Energenie and Kasa, the Bluetooth will be changed for Wiser as and when I get round to it, and the old eQ-3 heads will be reused in the flat, so not wasted, but if I take the dinning room as an example, the radiator so the TRV head are by the window, so do not really show the general room temperature. So not so sure a linked TRV head is the best answer, and not sure what can be done with existing anyway? It shows 1739015403289.png as dinning room is at moment used as store room. But is there a way to set it so if target over current, the boiler runs?

Only Drayton Wiser TRV’s can communicate with the Wiser hub to fire the boiler as it is a closed system.

If the Nest heat link is connected to the boiler then I can see that it might work but Nest can’t communicate with Wiser. Wiser is a pretty good system, it has a few foibles. I don’t use the Wiser TRV’s anymore as I have gone to a more open heating system.

To the ridiculous, one could have a wall thermostat in every room to set minium temperature, and a TRV to set maximum temperature. But to combine seems a better idea. The problem is, if the temperature set on the TRV is too low, the boiler would never switch off.

My hall TRV shows 15ºC and Nest in hall 18ºC, and living room TRVs 18ºC and 18.5ºC and wall 20.5ºC and this has always been the problem, heat circulates so some areas even in same room warmer then others. So the TRV may not need setting at the same set point as the wall thermostat. Also, the TRV does not snap open or closed, it is an analogue device, and it has a range between fully open and fully closed.

So in the main we work with near enough engineering. With mother's old house with a gas modulating boiler, it was near enough A1, most of the rooms would sit spot on the TRV setting, the hall TRV, wall thermostat, and lock shield valve were the main items, took some setting, but once set, it worked very well. But this house does not have a modulating boiler, and also found hall cools slower than living room, so all learnt with mother's old house, with this house it does not work.

Having 6 doors to the outside does not help.
