I have a hilmor but i've used alsorts none branded makes and never had any issues.

hilmor not bad for the price. do prefer record or rothenberger. found some cheaper benders will offset a bend slightley when aligned straight for doing something like an offset. if that makes sense 
Yes, Hilmor GLM for me too. Nice tool, well made.

Plumbers are the best pipe benders! I use hilmor but I started off with a second hand one (didn't know the make) but had it for years.
