what cable is it?

Hi,
There is a cable outside my house that has become loose from the clips, but I don't have a bigger ladder to reach it. I wonder what kind of cable it is and maybe it is not being in use and therefore I can ignore it. It starts from a grey box (photo 3) at the side of the house (the vertical one in photo 1) and ends on the roof above the ground floor (photo 2).
I don't think it is broadband cos my virgin cable enters the house from another opening just 0.6 meter above the ground (my landline is now connected to the virgin router as well). Could it be for the alarm? The alarm has not been in use since we moved in 16 years ago.

The house was built in c. 1993.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Old cable TV wiring. Probably one of the many small companies that either closed or were sucked into larger ones during the 1990s and 2000s.

Not in use now if you have Virgin installed elsewhere.
