I have an old house with a new bathroom suite going in. I am getting conflicting adive on what the floor neededs to be for tiling on.

Tiling will be Victorian style mosaic and currently all flooring is being removed down to the joists.

Plywood, if so how thick and what type - what is w.p.b?

Two layers thick of 12mm, one of 18mm, 24mm (which I can't source).

Wicked is my local supplier if that's any help specifying floor

Many Thanks

WBP = Water & Boil Proof, it’s exterior grade & uses waterproof adhesive for the veneers. When replacing the floor use 18mm minimum - 25mm depending on floor joist size/spacing/span; if in doubt go for the thicker size. Read the Tiling Forum sticky & archive posts BEFORE you start or buy any materials, it will ensure you do things properly & may prevent you making disastrous & expensive mistakes; come back with specific questions if you need to.
Use only quality trade tiling materials, BAL, Mapei (but not the stuff in B&Q), Webber etc. not the chaepo DIY shed stuff as it’s generally crap. Use the correct type of adhesive for your tiles & tile base.

Next time post the tiling forum you’ll get a better response. ;)
