I needed to replace some damaged architrave in a bedroom. I couldn't find the same profile online. The landing has an airing cupboard door that had a piece of the same architrave on the right but something different with a more rounded profile on the left. So, I purloined that architrave for the bedroom.
We have a shed-load of MDF pencil skirting left over from a previous job, so I thought I'd use that.
Just wanted opinion as to whether the skirt looks daft the "wrong" way round or whether it looks silly regardless!
Doorway with architrave removed.
Skirt in place the "wrong" way round. This is simply because this way, the two edges of timber are square on.
Skirting the other way round
The other side of the cupboard.
