What is similar in standing to the following boillers..?

My Safe Gas installer is not Viessmann registered.... So
I would like to find out one similar in stature Reliability,Functionality and robustness..

What would be the most equivalant combi Vaillant that would be in the same bracket as ATAG Q38C & Viessmann Vitoden 200W with Vitotronic 200?

any thoughts...

My present is an open vented heat only boiler with DHW tank, expansion&feeder cystern in the loft.

If you want the Viessmann and its not a bad choice then find someone who is registered with them.

Unless you've years of experience installing, servicing and repairing them, how would you know they're reliable & robust? Is it because the manufacturer told you? Why not let your installer suggest a boiler, if you trust them.

Have I said anything that is upseting? I am sorry if I have but you seem to miss my question.
If I am to only go by the Gas Safe Installer, What would be the point in having a forum like this and discussing?
We idividuals have different expectations, some wants to know & some do not. Some wish to learn from sites like this. If that is not the case with this form & it's rules and regulations then, I am sincerely sorry.
Or perhaps I got your attention on a wrong day?

The ATAG Q is a semi-commercial boiler and would be near £1700 so Id forget that one!

You haven't written anything 'upsetting'. You have though stated, without any idea, that the Viessmann combi is robust and reliable.

Contributors to this forum have advised about the importance of installer quality over brand choice more times than I can remember, yet the same question gets asked ad nauseum.

I do take your point. However
1. I am new to the forum [May be that cannot be an excuse]

2. You have raised a poignant point "Importance of installer quality over brand"- Individual like us hopefully come in contact with an installer [if he/she a very capable installer] once in a life time or perhaps twice if everthing goes as it should be. [my present boiler is over 20 years old in the house when we moved in 13 years ago]. Now that is another reason I was keen on finding more about a product prior to I agree with recommendation of my installer. Iam an innocent consumer.
I do understand one should place trust in the installer once decided to go with the job-However I am at present researching the facts. On line I could not identify the installer's credibility but facts about the products will help me understand what an installer is talking to me.

Annoyance from repetitive question is understandable as I do daily deal with public but I say to my self that each individual is new to that subject and know nothing on the subject, so have to go through with them on each occasions over and over again-That is life. If the installer I find had taken the same way as you have, I will not get all the information that would wish to know prior to I go to the bank to borrow money for this job. Pointless regreting later

Then in answer to your question, there is nothing about the Viessmann that makes it any more reliable than anything else, assuming correct installation. Certainly not enough for you to consider changing installer over.

The only question you need to consider after you've determined your budget is: What can I expect for a response if I have a breakdown? Personally if I were buying something I wouldn't want the provider to send me to the manufacturer. Therefore someone barking on about 5, 7 or 10 year warranties usually mean they don't want anything to do with you if it goes wrong. That's how they keep labour rates low.

In short I'd sooner recommend, for example, a properly installed Biasi with Stelrads, Honeywell controls, British copper pipe etc over a Worcester with Speedfit pipe, Screwfix rads, Salus controls and cheap TRV's fitted by some sub-contractor of an insurance/legalised loan shark outfit.

Unfortunately the price of an expensive boiler c/w top rank installer tends to put many people off these days.
