Okay, so I have about 500 sq ft of thick pine wall paneling that I need to sand down. There was a previous stain applied and luckily it isn't too far down into the grain. I used a small 3" hand orbital sander and it comes off fairly easily, but will be really slow to do the whole room. Is there a better tool for this? perhaps a 3x21 belt sander? I hate sanding, so I am looking for the most efficient way to do this. Not worried about spending the $150 for a belt sander if needed. The paneling is on the ceiling too and am thinking that the belt sander could get tough to hold above my head that long. Anyway, what are your thoughts? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks for your help!
