What is this and how can I remove it?

I have removed a radiator from my living room wall.

The wall brackets were done in a way I have not seen before. Instead of being screwed into the wall, they had a nut holding them into a bolt that was coming out of the wall.

I can't seem to remove these bolts from the wall, they just spin forever inside of a metal tube. What is this type of connector? Do I need to rip them out of the wall?

They need spinning anti-clockwise then tapping in to release .They are expanding bolts. May need a few attempts .

Undo the bolt as far as possible just a few turns of thread engaged. Tap the head sharply to drive the bolt in so releasing the taper plug on the end . A bit of jiggling of the fitting should enable the expanded part to close and be pulled out.(y)
