What is this board material?

Hi

Could someone advise me what is board material is made out of? Garage ceiling and wall is covered with the boards. It's not gypsum plasterboard.

It has small flecks of a shiny mineral embedded into it.

How old is the garage?

It could be asbestos, or it could be some sort of cement board.

It's hard to tell from your pics, but it certainly looks like asbestos.

Supalux do not have asbestos.

My guess is that the shiny bits are Mica, and that boards is actually calcium silicate board, which uses some Mica. If it is an old boards, it is probably not Supalux since the old Supalux do not have Mica. The new Supalux however, does.
