What is this box on cold water intake?

Hey all, any idea what this white box (with a "lightning" logo on it) could be? It's fitted to the cold intake for a dishwasher, and doesn't appear to be powered/electrically connected.

It's an auto shut off valve for any leaks in the system

Ah that sounds right. I guess unused since it's not wired in.

I think the wiring is within the pipe so you won't see it

We were able to determine that it's a Miele aquastop hose which indeed is wired through the hose itself. Thanks for your help!
