Photos of the attic of a recently purchased flat, can anyone offer some advice as to why some of the insulation is a different colour to the usual? is it just really old insulation or is there insulation actually made in that colour? there has been some newish stuff put in at the other end. Cheers.

Old dirty grey
If you look inside the dirty grey insulation it will be lighter in colour and more yellow, although I've seen some that's gray all the way through.
If you want confirmation get it tested as cheap enough. You will feel less anxious
