Hi guys,
I was just about to start ripping down the ceiling in our bathroom when i noticed that the plasterboard had a grey/blue tint in the plaster (within the plasterboard), and that the paper lining seemed to be old & fibrous. Which got me thinking that the paper and/or plaster might contain asbestos.
The house was built in the 1960's, so it's a possibility. I realise it's probably going to be almost impossible to tell without a microscope, but does anyone know what this type of plasterboard is and whether it is typically safe to work with? I was thinking it might actually be some kind of damp proof / insulation board ceiling as it was in the bathroom, but it could be anything. I was hoping it might look familiar to someone on here.
Here are some pics i've just taken:http://tinyurl.com/n3v7yfx
Any ideas?
