Can anyone tell me why this is happening to my sun flowers? They are watered day and night. This is the compost we used.

Could be over-watering ? the compost should be just damp, not saturated.
Are there drainage holes and do they work in the trough & pot ?
Are they root ball bound to the original pot you bought them in, did you spread them a little when you re-planted them ?
The list is endless I am afraid, too little information to go on.

I think it’s the weather this year. There’s a bloke over our allotments that grows them every year and they grow bloody high. This year, they’ve not got above 3 or 4 feet and they’ve flowered.

I've got a rogue sunflower growing in one of my compost places.
I'm sure it's a sunflower, but I have no idea how it got there.
It's about 3ft tall, for now.

Are they growing in the ground, or in a container?

How many hours of sunlight do they get per day?

Edit, oh, I see, a pot and a trough.

The containers are too small.

What's the problem? They look very healthy.

Btw, it's generally better to water less often but more thoroughly, but it doesn't look like there's a problem.
