Hi,
I noticed a loose flag on the patio today, lifted it, loosened the next one, etc etc until now I have 6 or so to rebed.
They were set on (hard) mortar - not dabbed - which I've spent some time removing. I've read loads about which sand/cement mix to use and how wet to have it but get confused.
The flags are the edge of the patio and rest on a well compacted sub base but overlap a small "wall" for want of a better word built along the edge. Guess I'm asking if part of the flag rests on stone blocks should I use more of a bricklaying mix or will the leaner sharp sand to cement mix which seems to be generally recommended for flags suffice?
You'll tell I'm a novice, all help appreciated!
