There was a recall ad in today's rag - John Lewis offering to replace a shelf.

"Remove items from the shelf before taking it down..." were the instructions.

Surely we're not that stupid?

What is the world coming to when we have to be advised to remove items from a shelf before removing it from the wall??

What next?

Please remove lid before using this product...

Please remove pen top before writing...

Please remove clothing before bathing...
