What paint to use with wooden frame (pics attached)

Hi

I am a complete novice when it come to DIY.

I would like to touch up/fully paint the front doorway - pics attached.

I would like to to do the simplest path possible (ie; not sanding down the whole thing etc).

Any advice massively appreciated.

There are no shortcuts with this one i'm afraid as it needs a fair bit of repair and prep to get it to a standard ready for painting. You can make it easier than just a finger aching sanding marathon by using sanders with profiled atrachments etc and flapwheels on larger areas but to be honest it is a bit of a task even for a pro. Target a section at a time and focus on a couple of feet at once so you don't get daunted by the scale and it will be worth it.
