Hi, I am hoping someone can help me, I have a Bristan easyfit kitchen tap which has started dripping from the cold water bit.

We moved into our house 3 years ago as a brand new house so seems a little fast for the seal to have gone already but i cannot find the one I’m looking for anywhere.
We have a load of manuals for most things in the house but cannot find one for this tap.

I have taken the tap apart which shows the 2 x pipes for hot / cold water, both have 2 very small o-rings / seals on them, i am assuming its these i need to replace, only problem is i asked in my local b&q and screwfix and both said they haven’t got a seal that size. i ordered a selection on amazon and one appeared the right size but after i tried to sit the tap back onto the pipes it wouldn't go on, you could see that the seal was just a little thicker and was stopping the tap going on correctly.

The person that helped me in screwfix said they had previously had someone come in asking the same thing about the same brand of taps and they ended up having to order the whole cartridge for them so they got the exact same seals. i'm assuming you must be able to just buy the seals though?

on one of my pictures below you can see the model inside the cartridge, i'm not sure if that could help someone tell me where i could get the correct seals for it?
There are other pictures as well just in case it helps anyone to to know what seals i would need?

Hello James,

This tap is under guarantee from Bristan for 5 years, so you might want to call them as opposed to you searching high and low for the part. If you insist on doing it yourself then try this: https://www.bristan.com/bristan-easyfit-taps

I will try and give them a call then and see if they will just send some out to me, thanks

Hi James,
I have the same problem as you with an easy fit tap and an o ring - did you find a solution? Bristan are currently not answering their phones due to the current situation. Thanks Ian

Hi Ian, I did need to go through Bristan in the end unfortunately. Although after sending them some pictures of my tap and proof of date they did send me new cartridges.

They wouldn't send just the seal on its own and as far as I know there's is made specifically for their cartridge.

I did try a few random seals beforehand and none worked.

You would need best trying to go down this route when you can as the cartridge is pretty dear to just buy on its own but the taps do have a 5 year guarantee.

Hope this helps

James
