What size pebbles for pebbledash?

Does anyone know what size pebbles is normally used for dry pebbledashing?

I've seen some 10mm and 20mm gravel and was wondering if i could use that? http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?isSearch=true&fh_search=gravel&x=0&y=0

thats gravel chips for your garden!

you need dashing grade chips.

8mm or size 8 is about right for dry dash!

What is the difference?

the stone is washed and well graded and of a guaranteed colour,means you can go back and match the stone for years to come,but it is £7/8 a bag.

can be bought in bulk bags as well but should be washed before use.

you can buy in bulk bags if you want to employ a couple of skins to bucket it up,but if you do this for a living you prolly should buy bagged!
