Hi

I'm having 3 bedroom ceilings taken down - they are about 10ft x 12ft each. Also a very small bathroom ceiling and a small cloakroom ceilng are being taken down.

Any ideas what size skip I will need? There isn't anything else to go in the skip.

Many thanks
George

Hardly worth a skip.

Can you not specify that whoever replaces the ceilings also removes "all waste arising from site and disposes"?

It's me replacing the ceilings!

So if I don't use a skip - how could I dispose of them?

I'm over-boarding downstairs, but up stairs I am taking down a few walls that is going to leave the ceilings very messy. Plus one ceiling is full of cracks so I want to look above in case any work needs doing.

So a mini-skip. I'll get one ordered, many thanks.

Well in that case, stop claiming credit for his work!:)

And book a mini skip for him !(y)

Don't be tempted to chuck loads of other rubbish in the skip - most reputable companies insist that plasterboard is separated or kept below 15% by volume as it can no longer go to landfill.

Lol, my husband wouldn't do any work if I didn't organise him.

Thanks noted - small skip and nothing else in with the plasterboard.
