We have a concrete patch at the back of the garden where a garage used to be.

I'm planning on putting a small shed on the concrete base as well as a Wendy House. I'm wondering what to put on the rest of the concrete to make it look nice.

In terms of how we are planning on using the space, we are likely to put a BBQ on there and tables and chairs, so not sure pebbles would be a good base?

Has anybody done something that they can recommend? Astroturf? Decking? I don't want to spend a fortune as also doing a lot of work on the house at the moment.

Also adding a picture.

As you can see there's the former garage base at the very back, which is lower than the rest of garden. Just above it is another concrete base, where possibly a shed or wendy House used to be.

Yeah, cut that out. Use a 9" angle grinder with diamond disc to give it a clean edge then a breaker to get rid of the portions you don't want. A weekend work, tops.

I agree. Power washer to clean it all up and then cut out the bits you don't want

You can put down pavers for your bbq if your looking for a decent base for a bbq area
