Hello,

Recently removed carpet and underlay in our bedroom, on the flooring it says must be glued in joints

I’ve noticed some of the joints don’t actually looked glued from above, so wondering what glue I should put down ready for when carpet gets refitted

Or doesn’t it matter if above has some gaps and the “must be glued” means in between t&g?

We did have some marginal creaks in places but new thicker underlay and carpet incoming will probably sort that

Thanks

there is a fair chance it is glued because it will be a say 3-6mm bead in a central groove and simply wont show on the surface except through messiness
if it doesn't creak and groan, i wouldn't bother unless it bothers you and you have the time

I’ll try pva glue, as it’s accessible now I may aswell

Any recommended ones for Screwfix/toolstation? Both close to me so easier to get some

Thanks

everbuild d4 about £12 ??ok around £16 now
