I'm having a 1870 Victorian house renovated and extended and the kitchen will be in the new extension. My problem at the moment is the flooring for the whole of the downstairs less the living room which will be carpeted.
There are so many options for flooring and I don't know what to choose. I would like to have natural stone (we're having underfloor heating so coldness is not an issue) but I wonder if it is difficult to maintain in a kitchen when so much ends up on the floor! Would it be better to go for ceramic or even amtico? I don't want laminate because the fluid which will no doubt end up on it will make it buckle.
Any suggestions?
