i think a4 computer paper looks a bit tacky and not professional im looking for something like they use at a builders yard

nothing wrong with a4, but i will agree the cheap stuff looks a bit ......naff, but you can get a4 in differnt weights, which is what the company i deal with use

thanks breezer i will look out for light weight a4 paper

i was thinking more of heavy weight.

the weight is shown on the pack as x gsm

x being a number, gsm being grams per square metre in weight

we use 80 gsm a4 paper for letterheads and print invoices straight onto letterheads. our invoices look a lot better than most of the ones we receive from other companies.

We do it the other way around: we print quotes, confirmations, letters and invoices all on white paper, but with some 'creativity' with Word and the draw-menu we've made letterheads templates, so everything is printed at once.
(Must say, was born out of necessity when we didn't know when or even where we would open a showroom and didn't want to 'loose' lots of unusable stationary. Now we're so used to it we don't bother with ordering letterheads. Same goes for our logo on envelops).
We do use proper paper, not the flimsy kind of sort which would make everything look 'tacky'

Well, didn't you know we Dutch are the same as you think of your Scots? (mean) :D :D

I know I am being petty but a couple of you might find the following helpful...
