Hi
Just started trying to repaint my kitchen and i realised that there are a couple of spots where the plaster has come off exposing the brick work.
One area is damp (near the window) and the other area is perfectly dry.
On closer look, the remaining plaster surrounding it, is like sand (just crumbles like a powder) and the layer is around an inch thick (from brick work to finished wall). Now i was going to use patching plaster, but considering its looseness, i don't think it will adhere.
The remaining wall seems solid and sound, but i would really like to patch these areas up before i paint. The house is an ex council and around 35 years old.
Any ideas?
