Hi All,

Bugle head screws aren't flat and I want a flat base to wall mount a bracket into a wall. So I'll put a wall plug in but now need to know what type of screw I can get that has a flat base. Sounds like a lame question I know but would like some advice as to a mix size pack of these I can keep at home as to be honest all my projects would benefit from a flat rather than bugle base.

Cheers

yes, pan head...didn't know the terminology. Is there a mixed pack from Screwfix you can recommend for general household usage?

Not sure I'm understanding this

You don't want a pan head?

How about countersunk with a washer ?

In my experience you're better off buying separate sizes/quantities of whatever screw type you actually need, you will end up with:

A) the screw sizes you actually need.
B) the quantity's you actually need.
C) you don't end up with a load of screws you do not need.
D) you don't waste money.

I don’t get this one.....bugle heads are designed to fit flush with the surface. Is this what you need?
Pan head screws don’t sit flush unless the head is counterbored in, countersunk screws do.
You could probably find what you need in the self tapping screw series.
