Good afternoon all,
I live in a 50's bungalow, solid concrete floors, with a 11" cavity wall, outside leaf is stock brick, inner leaf is commons.
I have problems with damp under one particular window, which I think Iv'e sorted.
I now need to re-plaster the commons under the window to just short of the floor, about 2x1 metres area.
Should I use bonding or browning and a multi finish skim topcoat? or sand/cement render with a same multi finish skim?
Or maybe lime plaster?
When it's done I want to wallpaper it and emulsion to match the rest.

Much appreciate any advice, thanks.

6:1:1 sand lime and cement, & skim with board finish. For a small patch you could leave the lime out.
Perhaps water test the exterior before re-plastering a few days later?

What do you mean by water test the exterior before re-plastering?
Also, just out of interest, why should I not use bonding or browning?
Cheers.

Working from low to high, you play a hose on the exterior wall and window reveals.Observe for any ingress.

Suggest that you read up the countless posts ref interior rendering.
