What's the best way to Age/Distress brickwork?

I've just removed a layer of Artex from the inside walls of my front door porch.

The bricks have been cleaned up, but they are too 'orange' looking.

The house was built in the 1920's and theres about 3 square metres of brickwork.

Does anyone have any ideas how to age or 'distress' the brickwork?


Please don't suggest Artexing!

put your television in front of the brickwork and turn it for the nine o' clock news, if that dos'nt distress it nothing will
