What's the best way to cut through floor boards?

I'm adding a couple of plug sockets in my bedroom and need to lift up several sections of floor board in order to do this. They interlock and also run under a partition wall.

Previously when needing to lift floor boards I've drilled a hole over a floor joist and used a jigsaw blade, shortened to the depth of the board, to cut through the board taking care to avoid the nails holding the board in place.

Is this the most efficient method?! Any tips gratefully recieved, Thanks.

Recently when replacing some damaged sections, I got good results drilling a series of adjoining holes just off-centre of the joist with a 3/8" forstner bit - don't drill the joist. No damage to adjacent boards and quickly tidied to a straight line with a sharp chisel.

I also use a circular saw set to the correct depth. Just make sure you don't hit any nails. You can use this to cut the tongue and midway across a joist.
